On my needles...

The most frequent question I hear around the shop is "what are you knitting this week?" So, I am going to show you a picture each week of what is on my needles. And to go along with that...whatever I am working on will be 20% off that week! So be sure to check out our website each week, or come by the shop to see what is on the needles!

I am working on the"Audrey Hepburn" sweater from Custom Knits. I love this top down sweater! It is a quick knit and fun to work on. I have changed it a little by using two different yarns, one for the trim and one for the body. I will be starting a new class this Saturday and we have some sweater kits available for purchase. The kits that are already put together are 20% off, as well as the book Custom Knits. So come by the shop and pick up the materials or register for the class to get started!

Retail Hours at Baskets of Yarn!
Thursday-Saturday 10am-4pm, and the 1^st & 3^rd Thursdays we will continue to be open until 8pm for Knit Night! The second Knit Night of each month will also include a FREE Yarn Tasting!

The Baskets of Yarn Knit Mornings and Knit Nights have been a great way to get to know some fiber friends and learn about new projects! Knit Mornings & Knit Nights are going to be a little different in 2009! We will still gather in the first and third THURSDAYS of the month from 10:00am-12:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm to help you work on all of your current projects! There is not a charge for the events, just bring a project or two, relax and knit or crochet with us! On the 3rd Thursday of each month we will be offering FREE Yarn Tastings from 6:30pm-7:30pm!

Baskets of Yarn is a retail knit, crochet and fiber arts supply and teaching company!

Directions to Baskets of Yarn:

From I-77, exit Tyvola Road and head towards South Blvd. At the first light turn right on Westpark. Bear to the right and go past the car dealerships and hotels. Turn left on Griffith Road. We are in Fordham Park which will be on your right (after Griffith Commercial Park and before the Doggy Day Care). Turn into Fordham Park and continue straight ahead towards the loading dock doors. Bear to your right at the end of the driveway and then to your left around the building. We are located in the center of the building in Suite D directly across from the mailbox. See you soon!
